This quite surprised me, whilst we were going through our English lesson, the bird laid an egg or two into her nest. The mum used to hang her carpets on the verrandah rail so a bird built her nest there, however there were three younger siblings of which, one was a very noisy one, she kept shooing the birds away from the verrandah, or rather trying to catch them- so what happened to the nest and egg, I have no idea, as they were moved into a house as the family grew. But it was an experience to remember..English and nest-egg! The black patch in the corner is the head and hair of the younger sibling who kept chasing the mother bird away from sitting on her nest..
