Lotus in bud

Adelaide Botanical Gardens on a windy afternoon and the Sacred Lotus flowers on the pond are in various stages of flowering - some just coming into bud and others have lost their beautiful pink petals exposing the yellow center to dry out and shed its seeds for the next season. This bud looked perfect to my eye with the early afternoon sun making it glow. Focal Length 55mm F8 ISO100
