This is a great blue heron. I was sitting in my car on a boat ramp. This bird flew in and walked up the log and was about 30 feet away. I shot a lot of pictures that day and the only reason I did not continue was because of the setting sun. I would have cropped this a little and would adjust the contrast but the contest rules forbid it.
