Man Impacted Landscape - Photography (c) Contest Entry
I know it looks creepy. I had a very creepy feeling myself when I found this on a tropical beach which is still unknown to the average tourist. It was even creepier when I saw the coral, left in the looks like the head of a creature with an open mouth, which is calling for help. Creepy as it is; it shows exactly the current situation of several Central and South America and Caribbean Beaches. Due to a shift in the currents they are losing the sand. Scary, but true; the sand is more and more replaced by a high amount of manmade materials. There is nothing set on the situation, nature put the subjects on the beach as I photographed them. There was no doll, just the single arm sticking out. Reality now seems creepier than horror tales. On beaches, tourists dreamed of just a few years ago, trash is piling up.
