The flamingo was drawn using artist colored markers in the pointillism technique developed by Seurat. The entire image is drawn using dots of color all laid down by hand. My intent & attempt was to capture the flowing bend in the neck and hopefully have the viewer of the artwork connect with the eye and the complimentary color scheme between bird and negative space. And also of course to try and create a 3D feel using a 2D media.
