Sun shining through sunflower

In the Veale Gardens there was a small community garden which is tended by the local primary school. I was surprised that the plants were doing reasonably well with the heat of summer as the kids are on holidays until early February. The sunflowers were in various stages, buds, full bloom and some had died. This one had the sun shining through the petals making the yellow even more golden. The bee landed just as I was taking the image.
