To see the colours of autumn in Adelaide you need to go to the foothills where the Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens is situated. The traditional Australian natives don't change colour so in the Botanical Garden are trees from the northern hermisphere which are more in tune with changing seasons. Might not be as spectatular as England, Canada or USA but love to wander around seeing the reds and yellows against the rich greens. Mind you it was cold and drizzly there this morning when I ventured up to the hills.
