This is an image I couldn't resist drawing thanks to the evident bond between the little boy and the kid. It brought to mind my childhood in Nigeria where I used to play with the goats my grandparents kept in their backyard. If it brings a smile to your lips then my work is done! :) R
PS: Here's a poem which I wrote to accompany this and which I've posted on FanStory review.
My little friend is different
From all the other kids.
And though our friendship Gran forbids,
To me, he's heaven-sent.
I'm lucky to have a sidekick
Who always wants to play.
And meekly beside me he'll stay
Whenever I feel sick.
Although he cannot speak a word,
Each 'Meh!' I understand.
He's taught me wisecracks, rude words and
Jokes that Mum finds absurd!
To me he is like family;
For me there's no debate,
When 'You're like twins' some people state-
He is a kid like me!
