Ocean, Seas, Waves and Rivers Contest Winner

Nerites is a mermaid from Greek mythology. She was transformed by the gods to a shellfish with a spiral shell of transcend beauty.

The Nerites fantasy was created from a photo of ocean waves near the sea shore. The photo was treated with a watercolor filter and accentuated. The mermaid was added from my personal clip art collection using transparency brushes 0-99%. The colors were adjusted and sparkles were added with paint brushes.
