The Titan arum smells like rotting flesh when it opens, the plant is rare and one of the largest flowers in the world originating from Indonesia. The flower is approximately 2 meters tall but can grow to 3 meters. The flower lasts for 48 hours once open and then the whole plant dies. This is the first time the Botanical Garden has had a flower and the queue to see it was around 1/2km later in the day (we went early morning) and 45-60 minute wait. There was limited space in the glasshouse and lots of people with cameras. :)
