This was taken in 2014 on the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, MA. My step mom was battling stage IV lung cancer and we'd taken a trip to see her relatives in this area. We stopped at the Bridge of Flowers as she loved flowers and took a slow stroll across. I was walking behind her and my dad and snapped a photo of their shadows that were cast on the ground as they walked. She passed away in 2015 and looking back at this it reminds me of how fleeting life, like shadows, can be. Though she is gone, memories of her, like the flowers, continue to blossom.
