Yesterday we visited a couple of villages in the mountains above Kardamili where we stay. It was right before sunset where the light is so warm and inviting. What you see in this photo is the church belonging to the Monastery of Koimeses Theotokou. It was taken from the village of Petrovouni. It is one of the oldest churches in Greece, and was built by Leo the Protospathorius in the year 872 AD.
