there are about 1000 temples, pagodas and shrines in and around Kyoto: most of them are never visited by tourists; Along the Higashiyama driveway there is the Shogunzuka Mound and the Dainichi-do Temple grounds. Besides the spectacular view from the two observatory?s in the garden of the temple there is the Shogunzuka Mound.
