Mixed Media: None | This scene was inspired by a photo of two trees by a bend in the river. As art often does, once I got started it took on a life of its own. I decided to add the rocks to see whether I could actually render them in a realistic fashion. Once I placed the tree trunks I thought they would add more interest without leaves. I wanted to create the warmth of a sunlit summer day.
