Mixed Media: None | This contest inspired me to experiment outside my comfort zone. I do not usually create paintings with a pastel palette as I really like highly saturated colors. I chose two whites, two beiges, one light blue and one light gray pastel and made myself complete the piece just using these six colors. I did allow myself to touch up the three birds with a slight line of black once I was done. This is the third in my series of beach scenes.
