Last summer we had an orb spider that made a huge web,the anchor lines ran from the porch roof to the porch railing.She basically came out around sundown,so both of us had fun taking pictures once she took up her post in the center of her creation. We could see her easily from the living room where she appeared to be suspended against the sky.In this photo you can just make out the faint lines of her web. I sent a picture to a friend who texted back "this is the single most scary thing I have ever seen! "LOL! Image was only slightly cropped.
