This is a new flower species to me. It is a spring meadow saffron flower. It is an early bloomer along with crocus and daffodils. This is a close up but from a distance some clever botanist planted this whole hillside in the shape of a heart, pretty cool. I have a feeling that these delecite flowers are not around for very long. Next time I go to the arboretum, they may just be a memory.

I had to use a fast, very fast in fact, shutter speed as the wind was blowing quite strong and the flowers were blowing in the wind!
