Outdoor Photography Contest Entry

This is a Great Blue Heron with a fish he just caught. The thing to do now is get somewhere to swallow his prey. This was the easy part of this photograph. This bird was perched on this stump and I was sitting on the bank waiting and watching just like the bird. He was waiting for a fish to swim by and I guess that was what I was waiting for too. This process sometimes will last a long time, but it is worth it. Shots like this is the prize for me.
