I am up in the the southwest part of the Talkeetna Mountains the elevation is 3,885 feet . This is last month on a cloudy afternoon. This is Hatcher Pass, it is where the Independence Gold Mine is located . It?s a popular recreation area for skiers, snow machining and dog sledding and skijourning.
