I never get anywhere in anything because you have to join meetings and I hate meetings, sitting there listening to people who want to air their thoughts, often not worth airing. I am afraid that it is plague of having been to Uni and teaching, I like discussing interesting topics but little else, and I am the worst small conversationalist in all the world and get called stuck up, b ecause I am studying how that leaf curls for my next painting, or how the road glistens for my next poem!! It is my fault I fear.
