This huge towering statue of a sailor giving a
Nurse a impromptu kiss is from the famous photo taken in 1945 on V J day. V J stands for Victory over Japan. The photo was published in Life magazine. This huge statue is homed in the Harbor in San Diego. Many a couple have reinacted the Kiss and Ultimate Surrender underneath this towering giant. If you look to the right you can see tiny people and will realize how giant this statue truly is.
