The rodeo clown is a Rodeo Protection Athlete. They protect riders from the bull or horse. They also protect the rodeo animals from injury often when the cinch around the waist is still on. They defer the animals back to the safety of the riding pen. During half time they are comical and entertaining. Every rodeo has CLOWNS.
