The Tiger is only found in South and Southeast Asia, China, Far East Russia. They are nocturnal. They easily can attack sleeping prey at night and with their beautiful stripes provide camouflage. They use their body weight to knock prey down and then they bite the prey in the neck. Tigers live solitary lives except when it is mating season and are fiercely territorial. In the 1900s there were 100,000 but today sadly there are only about 3000 world wide. All are endangered.
