Stare of The Snake

Monday I went out to do some shooting at a National Wildlife place I go to shot nature photos. I came across 5 individual snakes, in different places soaking up the sun. This is one of those snakes. The snake is a female Black Northern Water Snake. She was facing away from the water and looking right at me. The shot was to good to pass up. I was pleased I hadn't scared her when I came upon her. Don't worry she is NOT poisonous. She didn't move a muscle. I was about 7 or 8 ft. away when I captured this shot. To create this I over-layed a BW with a BW neg transparent image and slid it. This gives the look of being embossed. I then placed the original color shot as a transparency over that. Working with the color transparency to get the original color back. I hope you enjoy! Thanks so much for stopping by to view. :o) Helvi
