I am not usually a copies artist but saw this comp as a sort of challenge. I looked up originals of this guy and found the Venice cat sings solo meo, I used the Venice background very loosely and replaced the Venice cat with the cat in the hat.

I sketched in graphite, filled in with colour pencils, highlighted and defined with felt tips.
Dr Zeuss I had not really looked at until now. Quite love the stuff but very intricate to do. I was quite worn out with detail on this.
