Bleeding Hearts Flowers

Dangling Hearts

I liked how this Bleeding Heart vine has a few unopened buds on the tip of the vine. The Bleeding Heart is a perennial plant. All parts of the plant are poisonous to humans and animals. The alkaloids in the plant most commonly affect cattle, sheep, dogs and cats. The plant is however a food source for larvae of some butterflies, aphids and snails.
