Resting Meadowhawk

The reason you don't see dragonflies walking is because their legs are too weak for walking. They use them to form a basket for catching bugs and for standing on plants while resting.

I like the broken branch where this Meadowhawk landed. The dragonflies seem to like this branch too. I recently have been finding them resting in this spot. I have also seen a flycatcher and a hummingbird enjoying this resting place.
