I saw the pumpkin art contest a few days ago and knew I wanted to enter so, I mulled it over for a day or so. I knew I did not want to just create a pumpkin vignette or a set of Halloween jack-o-lanterns. I have been pondering for some creating a figure with something other than hair- probably an arrangement of flowers. Then inspiration hit me. Why not create a figure with an arrangement of pumpkins instead of hair. I wanted it to have the fall colors but wanted to create a soft and feminine portrait, thus this is the result.
