~ Well this Jeremiah is not a bullfrog as that song goes. This is a colorful jumper jumping spider. Jumping spiders are non venomous and usually don't bite. They are more afraid of you than you should be of them. Their two huge forward facing eyes make them have keen vision. The two huge eyes give them almost a alien appearance. I adore this little guys and gals. They come in every color under the rainbow. These little often hairy creatures, mostly carnivores eating other insects jump on their prey rather than spinning webs. In Tibetan folklore if a jumping spider jumps on you it will bring you luck. Well, good luck if you don't kill it. If you kill it you will have webs of bad luck. So next time one of these little jumpers leaps your way, Fear Not! and just enjoy. Gaze into each other's eyes :-)....
