The "Tortoise and the Hare" is an image I've wanted to post for a very long time. This is my homage to that great story. I have plenty of images of both rabbits and turtles. I just had to wait till I had the right ones to create this...........

Instead of a tortoise I used the image of a Female Eastern Painted Turtle. I know it was a female because she was onshore laying her eggs. For the bunny I captured a great shot of one in my back yard lying down in the shade. The turtle appears to be raring to go in a race but the bunny's thinking....there is no turtle on earth that can beat me in a race! I think I'll take a little snooze. When I wake up I'll still have plenty of time to beat that slowpoke turtle.


...... While the bunny sleeps the turtle makes good headway into the race. With only seconds to go before the turtle nears the "Finish line "there is still no bunny in sight. In just a few steps the turtle will be crowned the winner of the race. My Image reveals the thoughts of the turtle a few seconds before he wins the race.
