Newly planted lemon tree and along comes the caterpillars to chomp away on the fresh leaves - not knowing what kind it is I moved to Sage plant while I investigated. Found out that it is a type of Citrus Caterpillar (hence eat all the new leaves on my lemon tree) and becomes a Dainty Swallowtail Butterfly - now dilemma is do I let them destroy my new tree or let them become butterflies!!! The carpark next to our house has a huge old lemon tree that is not producing very good lemons any more so now they have been moved to that tree and hopefully will survive to produce the beautiful butterfly. :)
