The Baltimore Oriole [Icterus galbula] is a common bird of the Americas who migrates seasonal between Canada, USA, Mexico and Central and South America.
The is 8.7 inches [22 cm] long beak to tail. Males are orange with black hoods and back. Females and juveniles might resemble males, but some are duller or have blotches or greenish tints at the black.

I used magazine photos published by Defenders of Wildlife 2017 and some of my own photos as reference for my painting.
