Flower Art Contest Contest Entry

I sketched the flowers and composed them on a full sheet of 140 lb watercolour paper. Then I wet the paper and stretched it. Finally I painted the irises in traditional watercolour, much of it wet into wet. It was important that I saved a lot of whites to evoke the sunlight on the flowers.
