I was driving through a SW Florida park which was well known for its abundance of large alligators, as well as wading birds, deer, wild pigs, and a plethora of other typical Florida wildlife. To my right, I saw a lot of activity in a small shrinking pond. There were many wading birds, especially the much sought after beautiful roseate spoonbill, as well as two large gators. The birds were hunting right next to the gators seemingly without regard to one another. I stopped my car, walked about 50 yards to get a closer view, and took many shots, narrowing my favorites down to include this image.

Mixed Media: Minor | This was photographed raw, so I had to make minor adjustments to accurately reveal its natural contrast, highlights, and shadows while modestly enhancing texture, clarity, vibrancy, and saturation. Some cropping , but no image alteration or background manipulation.
