Winter Scene Contest Entry
I have always said that the best part of winter in New England is watching and feeding the birds. There's nothing more beautiful, in my opinion, than a Cardinal perfectly poised in the yard, waiting for an empty spot at the birdfeeder. Every winter we received many species of birds frequenting one of our many feeders. From suet to seeds, we tried to provide for an many as we could. These beautiful winter scenes are the only thing I miss about New England. Since moving south, our winters are sub-tropical with many blooming flowers and a vast variety of birds, including the Cardinal, which we enjoy just as much. Taken with my Canon EOS 60D.
