This time of year in the midwest can be very ugly. Not much color around. It's hard to find interesting things to shoot this time of year. I was out at a park and had to jump over a small stream of water and in the low area I saw these leaves and grasses matted down. It caught my attention because there were colors that survived the winter. From the white mold to the reds, golds and even some blues and purples of the dead grass and leaves. I liked the close up look of the colors the details of the leaves and the sort of abstract feel of the frame. Shot with my note cell camera.
