Baby and Child Art Contest Contest Entry

I painted Alice on a 16x20 canvas using oil paints. When I saw the photo of my friend's granddaughter, Alice on facebook, I asked her if I could use the photo as a reference to paint a portrait. My friend Linda said, "of course." This was my first attempt at painting a portrait so I had no idea if I could do it or not. Well, I did it! When I showed Linda, of course, she cried and then I told her she could buy it. More tears. The Alice painting hangs above the fireplace in Gramma Linda's home.
