Art From The Imagination Contest Winner
From mostly imagination and memory, I drew my first full-bodied cat seeing himself in a mirror (length to the floor) but showing no satisfaction through his facial expressions. His backside is seen only so I wanted to show some of his front sides, shoulders up through his reflection in the mirror. At one time I may have seen a picture a little similar to this so trying to remember it -somewhat I did mine from the mind. The Faber-Castell Polychromos and Prisma Premier color pencils' painting took at least four hours. First I applied light pressure, then medium pressure, and continually increasing to heavier layers for several rounds--particularly on the black and white fur. As I was learning and imagining I did not apply as many layers for the fur/hair on the cat as I have in later artwork.
