The White-winged Dove [Zenaida asiatica] is a little larger in size than the Mourning Dove. The bird is generally brownish-gray above and paler gray below. It has white ends on grater coverts above, forming prominent patches on the wings, contrasting sharply with the blackish flight feathers. The bird has a blackish tail with prominent crescent with terminal band. On perched birds, the wing patch shows only as thin white line along the leading edge of the folded wing.
