Holly Blue Butterfly ~ Celastrina argiolus The wings are predominantly pale blue, a border of black is present (more pronounced on the female). The underside is less colourful than that of the Common Blue Butterfly, on on Green Alkanet ~ Pentaglottis flowers that resemble Forget Me Nots. As it flits at speed between flowers I was unable to capture it clearly with it's wings open with my compact camera. In the blurred photo I did get I was able to identify this as a female. Susan
