Photograph of the Month Contest Entry
My new lens (a Canon RF 100-500 L IS USM) arrived early on the afternoon on the 19th of this month. I was on my way to bed when the UPS truck pulled into the driveway. Without a clue about what I was doing, I rigged the lens to my Canon EOS R then crashed for a few hours before heading off to work. Clocked in at work around 11:40 at night with camera and new lens in the trunk of my car. "Lunch" time 4 a.m.- rushed out into the cold night air and took a few shots of the lunar eclipse. Yeah, did I ever get lucky. There is even a small star off to the left. Pretty cool. FYI- "Baby Moon" is a reference to the smallest appearing full moon of the year due to it's distance from the earth.
