This is Callirhoe Involucrata - also known as Poppy Mallow and/or Wine cups. They are classified as an herb and are a sprawling plant up to 3 feet with a height of 1 inch. The dainty flowers are
1 and 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. They are native to north American woodland areas. This shot was taken in my wildflower garden earlier this summer. I love the selective color process and was excited to share this photo as such. The tiny gnat was a bonus! I hope that you enjoy!
Post Type: Mixed Media Photography
Mixed Media: Major | Taken in a macro style. Converted to black and white then used a selective color process through Adobe Photoshop to bring back the color of the flower. Some clarity and sharpness added. Resized for FAR.
