There was a 1995 movie starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep called "Bridges of Madison County". These covered bridges are in Madison County, Iowa. There were built in the late 1800's and were fairly common. This photo shows the inside architecture of the bridges as they look today. Due to safety standards, none of the bridges are operational today, but have been restored and reside near where they were first constructed.
