The Black-bellied Whistling Duck [Dendrocygna autumnalis] is a duck that breeds in the southern US, Mexico, and Central to south central South America. It is found year around in Florida, south-east Texas, coastal Alabama and Mississippi, and seasonally in southeast and Louisiana's Gulf Coast, Arkansas and Georgia, Tennessee.

The painting is based on some of my own photos and scratches as reference.
This is not a photo or mixed media. My paint-program [ArtRage] allows to choose canvas texture, mix my colors, and choose my brushes. It's a bit like finger painting, but more complicated.
