Traditional Art - Birds Contest Entry

I used an internet reference photo for the idea, and used my own colour pallet to suggest evening in snow a cardinal on a deeply buried fence.

I approached this as a modern contemporary artwork rather than visual realistic piece. I am experimenting to find the extraordinary rather than the usual and whether it appeals and has a place.
