We took a trip up to Eureka to meet some friends for lunch , on the way back we stopped at the Matanuska Glacier just as the sun had set . The reflections are on the ice , the lake is frozen. This is about 100 miles north of my home . . We always stop here when heading north on the Glenn Highway. This glacier is the largest glacier in Alaska that is accessible by car , it is 27 miles long and 4 miles wide. You are viewing just a small section of it .
