One of the first things I look at when I'm going to shoot a waterfall is can I see the rocks behind the water? If I can then I will set a shutter release of around .5 to .8 secs. If I can't then I'll set a shutter release of around 1.5 to 3 sec. In this case I couldn't see any rocks so I set the shutter release at 1.8 sec. Veils are usually high volume with an dense opaque water column. A long exposure in this case emphasizes the waters movement. I used all manual settings and PS to crop and resize ... Bob
