Hairy Woodpecker

This is Harry. He's was here when we moved in 5 years ago. He and his mate Harrietta are regulars at the feeders. I drilled holes in the side of the feeder post and I fill them with a mixture of chunky peanut butter, sunflower hearts and cracked corn, they love it. These guys look just like their cousin the Downy Woodpecker. 2 differences are the Hairy is almost twice the size of the Downy. The Downy has a yellow/gold mustache of down whereas the Hairy has a mustache of long hairs. Thanks for having a look... Bob
