Street Art Murals Contest Entry
Lucky is a life size paper Mache horse that was swept away in a historic flood in 1921 and was later found in a tree 15 miles away - unharmed. Lucky now resides in the Southwestern Heritage Museum.
The mural depicts some of the actual saddles that were made by Frazier Saddlery Company who operated out of this building ~ Lucky was the model for their saddle making and he is shown just off the left side. The flooding is shown mid wall with buildings toppling into the Arkansas River. On the right is the discovery of Lucky in the tree and just middle lower symbolizes the rebirth of the city.
All information gathered from a plaque posted on the sidewalk so passersby will know what it is about.
