The hummingbirds are back!! We put out our feeders around the 15th of April each spring and by the 20th we always have a few -building up to around 40 here in mid summer. This black chin hummingbird is a regular and will be here all summer. He has beautiful iridescent purple throat feathers that he can display or can be seen when the light is right on his throat. On this day - May 3, he was showing off and displaying his colors in a beautiful way for the females who were on the feeders. I hope you enjoy seeing Mr. Black Chin as much as I do!!
